I love your Blog, I love your dog and you rock too! My dog pal have been vegan since I got him which was when he was 6 weeks old. We closed down a puppy mill and I took him. He’s 8 years old now and been vegan the WHOLE time. He’s never been sick, except he got stung by a bee and had an allergic reaction! We now carry an epi pen but hasn’t gotten stung again, crossed fingers. Chicken Marie is the coolest name ever, love it and what it represents! So, just a shout out to all the cool vegan doggies and their vegan humans!
Keep up your most cool blog because I subscribed to it just now and I’ll be waiting for cool new stuff! Vegan Rock!
Oh, I loved the what level vegan test on your blog, too cute. I made level 14 I think it was. I’m passing that test on to other folks so thanks for that!
Thank you so much for all your awesomeness!!! I really agree that there needs to be an organic vegan dog food!! It is so important, and overlooked. I will contact v dog, because I agree, and if they made one, I would buy it all the time. Chicken also gets a variety of dog foods, snacks, and some made meals (textured vegetable protein boiled with veggie stock, carrots and apples are some of her favorite snacks! I am going to try the tofurky trick now too
) Anyway, thanks again, and I am really happy to hear about other vegan dogs and their people!! It makes me feel all tingly to know that Chicken Marie isn’t the only one!!
I’ve been buying my vegan dog pal V-Dog nibbles for several years now. I keep it down at all times as a snack but it’s not his main source of food. He gets tons of different foods that are fresh and non-processed along with some processed foods like Tofurky keilbasa & slices to name just a couple of his food sources. Tip: If you dehydrate the Tofurky Deli Slices they make a killer ‘chew chew’ (what we calll them). I make a whole pack at once and store them in an air tight jar for a nice chewy snack. I was buying the vegan ‘pig ears’ from vegan essentials but they are just too expensive and after some investigating I found out that the ‘pig ears’ are made by Tofurky so I figured I would just dehydrate their slices and have a cheaper, basically the same, snack and it worked great.
Back to the V-Dog nibbles: We need to request that V-Dog make an ORGANIC version of their nibbles!! If they really care about our vegan dog pals they will offer an ORGANIC version. I contacted them about 2 years ago and they told me they were working on an ORGANIC version but I haven’t seen it yet. So, did they just tell me that ?? I haven’t contacted them since that but I think I’ll contact them today and ask again. If they don’t come out with an ORGANIC version then I think I’ll not buy them anymore. I’m glad they make vegan dog food but it needs to be ORGANIC!! Don’t you agree? If so, please let’s all contact them, ok!
Thanks again for your awesome blog! Vegans Rock!
